Internship – Wealth Planning (Year-Round)

Baird Private Wealth Management combines national scale with a culture centered on meaningful relationships – among clients, advisors and team members.

About the Role:

Our Wealth Planning interns gain real-world, meaningful work experience, are treated as valuable team members and have the ability to directly contribute to the work of Baird’s geographically diverse Wealth Planning team. Interns apply knowledge gained in the classroom to develop relevant professional experience while creating meaningful relationships within the team and across our Private Wealth Management business. Interns obtain first-hand experience with the daily work of our Wealth Planning professionals as they provide holistic wealth planning support to Baird’s Financial Advisors across the country.

This is a hybrid internship, working 3 days per week in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office and 2 days remote. The intern must be able to work full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, and work part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week. We are seeking a student who can start in June 2027.

The Impact You’ll Make:

  • Support the Wealth Planning team in plan construction and presentation of analyses to relevant parties

  • Execute BairdWeb content review and conduct necessary enhancements to Baird’s internal site as applicable

  • Provide general processes support and management of the team’s workflow queue

  • Gain exposure to Baird’s Wealth Planning Team processes, structure, and expertise and insight into how they are leveraged to support Baird’s Financial Advisory teams nationwide

  • Engage with each member of the Wealth Planning Team for continued career exploration and professional development

  • Build relationships with other members of Baird’s broader Wealth Solutions Group

  • Ability to complete the SIE exam

  • Perform additional duties and assist with projects as assigned

What You’ll Bring to Baird:
